SALVATION
For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:
Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth:
Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously:
Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
1 Peter 2:21-25
The Importance of Salvation in Christ
Our souls’ salvation is a spiritual rescue from sin and its effects, given freely by God through faith in Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection. It provides eternal life and a new relationship with Him, requiring individuals to believe in Jesus as Lord and Savior and to confess their sins. If you do not know Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection, repeat this prayer from your heart.
A Prayer for Salvation
Heavenly Father, I believe that Jesus Christ is Your Son. I confess that I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe that Jesus died to remove my sins and that You raised Him from the dead to give us new life. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow Him as my Lord from this day forward. Thank You, God, for saving me. Amen.
