Do you feel a sense of urgency about this world?
Our men’s ministry will help men in the church develop discipline, strengthen their faith, and prepare to lead spiritually in their homes and communities. It will include Bible studies, prayer, service projects, and fellowship to support men facing challenges such as insecurity, anger, and cultural pressures. The ultimate goal is to motivate men to be genuine men, build strong relationships, and grow as spiritual leaders in the church and community.
A Prayer of Preparation for the Coming of the Lord
Heavenly Father, I praise and honor You. I thank You for Your goodness and love toward me. Father, guide me to understand Your will and purpose for my life and to know Jesus and the power of His resurrection. Jesus, I acknowledge that You are my Savior and that You died on the cross to save me from my sins.
Jesus, I believe in Your promise that You will return for me on that day. Please help me to focus my affections on Heavenly things and not be attached to this world, which may cause me to miss Your coming. Help me to stay watchful and pray so that I may be worthy to escape the horrors approaching this world. And Lord God, if I have committed any sins, please forgive me and cover my sins with the blood of Jesus Christ, Your Son.
Lord Jesus, I cast all my cares on You so I won’t be caught off guard by the snares of this life. Please help me examine myself so I won’t be judged with the world. I am part of the body of Christ; help me stay alert and aware in these last days. Grant me the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding I need to stand. Show me how to pray to avoid any pitfalls of the enemy that could cause me to fall, for I know You can keep me from falling.
Lord God, I recognize that I am in this world, but I am not of it. As Jesus is one with you, I am one with Him. So, Father, I eagerly await the glorious return of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on that day. In Jesus’ name, I pray.
